Get the Taiwan Gold Card without doing the paperwork yourself

Locals are calm: cross-strait tension has been ongoing for over 20 years. Taipei consistently ranks among the safest cities in Asia. The situation is stable, and any significant escalation would trigger formal evacuation procedures well in advance.

No. The card is issued upon a visit to Taiwan, but there is no minimum stay requirement. You can use it as a backup option, visit occasionally, or relocate fully. The choice is yours.

Taiwan uses a progressive tax scale from 5% to 40%. Gold Card holders get a specific incentive: for 5 years, half of your salary income above NT$3 million a year is exempt from income tax, if you spend at least 183 days a year in Taiwan. Overseas income is also left out of the basic tax calculation in those years. We’ll walk you through the specifics during your free case review.

None specific. The program is open to citizens of any country in the world. There are no restrictions whatsoever.

If your documents were issued in one of the 25 countries on Taiwan’s official authentication list, they must first be legalized through a Taiwan representative office. Allow 3 to 8 weeks for this step. India and the UAE are not on the list. We check this for you before anything is submitted.

Officially up to 3 months. In practice for most clients: document preparation takes 2 to 3 weeks, government review takes 4 to 6 weeks, around 2 months total on average.

It is a fair question. Nobody can buy you a Gold Card, guarantee a decision, or influence a reviewer, and anyone who claims otherwise is lying to you. What a legitimate service does is narrower: it looks at your situation, tells you honestly whether you qualify and under which category, prepares the file, and handles the correspondence. Ways to tell the difference on any provider, including us: a real service tells you when your case is weak and sometimes tells you not to apply at all; it names its price in advance and puts it in a written agreement; it never promises a specific outcome. We decline weak cases, and we have no influence on the decision. You can also do this yourself, and many people do, our clients choose not to because their time is worth more than the fee, or their case is complex enough that a mistake is likely.

If your application is declined, we refund your deposit. We also only take on cases where we believe the profile is strong enough to succeed.

Yes. Renewal is $1,090. We check that you still qualify, prepare and file the application, and handle any questions from the office until the new card is approved. We also help when your passport or other documents have changed. You pay 50% upfront and the rest upon approval, and the deposit is refunded if the renewal is declined. More in our renewal guide.
